JAPON.

JAPON

The Asian culture and its alure….

Japon takes you through the Japanese culture where the past and present collide.

Manifesting its wings lives a mosaic crane at the entrance, where she greets you and envelops you in her embrace. She represents elegance and a natural beauty in this culture. The design consists of wall to ceiling feather tiles that frame said crane as she watches the beautiful scenery. From the scenery of the mosaic the color pallet of the rest of the restaurant emerges. The greenish blue hand painted glossy paneling talks to the modern elements of Japan while the patters, ceiling (which references the old temples), lighting, and textures represent the past. The motif of the crane continues to fly through the space as the fabrics reference the florals and scenery they have seen. As well as the hand painted gold foiled glass mural that draws you to the sea food display, private bar, and private dining room.

The private bar is adorned with elaborate marble ribs and crane mural wallpaper. There are many modern twists on the furniture and lighting which brings a fresh view on the Asian culture. Then as you walk through vintage relic doors you are greeted by beautifully curated art pieces which never let us forget the past. The ceiling once again is hand painted as many of their temples are. From the wall to the screen each piece holds many treasures, this room is a sanctuary through the passage of time. Outdoors you have a large pagoda and painted murals enveloped in moss. This piece frames the restaurant from the hotels courtyard. Its as though the crane can fly in and out of the space and pulling you near her very essence.

Japon is not just a restaurant it’s the elegance, traditions, hand crafted details of the passage through time.
